Hi Ladies Need some advice/reassurance. Bit complex/long winded so bare with me. In my first pregnancy a cervical erosion was noticed, I had a normalish vaginal delivery (induced, forceps, epistomy) and had a healthy 9lb 1oz boy. However since the birth of my 3year old my periods where HORRENDOUS. I got referred to a gynacologist at 22 years old after a big fight for two years as i was deemed 'too young for a smear in england' where they discovered I had pre-cancerus cells (CIN1) I had cold cogulation treatment and luckily this was successful. At 23 I am now 22 weeks pregnant with my second baby boy and under consultant led care. However I have been struggling with severe thrush for the last 5 weeks, have had dozens of pessaries/cream inc a 3 day pessary course and 6 days. The last week i have been on the ante-natal ward twice, once with a light bleed and a second time with a watery discharge, whilst there they deemed my bleeding is coming from either a fresh cervical erosion or the area of cells that was treated for cin1,they werent too sure about the watery discharge and said it could just be from the thrush as my cervix on an internal examanation looked intact apart from the erosion. I am due to see my consultant Friday, where am hoping to get more answers. Im really worried at the moment as i can feel the watery discharge gushing out of me and have been changing my underwear upto 6 times a day, Im not convinced my amontic fluid isnt leaking? I'm also extremely sore, having a pee is actually painful and I really dont think I could handle a vaginal delivery? and whether this will cause more harm to my cervix? I just wondering what my options are within an elective caeseran? or if theres anything else they can prescribe me for thrush other than pessary after pessary and cream? SORRY FOR THE NOVEL & TMI. Much love a worried mummy.
