Sleep bras for large boobs

Hi ladies,

I hope I can tap into some of your wisdom ... I'm only 6 weeks and am struggling to get comfy in bed due to really sore boobs.

I only have one daytime bra that fits at the mo as I'm already up a cup size due to humungous hormone related boob swelling, so I can't wear that day and night.

Does anyone have any tips on where I can find one? The Mothercare/Blooming Marvellous ones just look like crop tops which won't deal with my 32Gs, and google isn't helping at all.

Any thoughts?

Keep well folks xx

These ones: www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/ShowDetails.asp?id=118

I'm normally a 34G, and have gone up quite a lot (cup size or two and back quite a bit - am 35 weeks) but find an L++ super comfy and surprisingly supportive. Wouldn't run for a bus/wear to work, but great around house/at night and the shape/ lift isn't bad for something so amazingly comfy.

Thanks- these look great!

Sorry to butt in but I'm intrigued! Due dc2 in July and didnt a whole 9 months of mega leaky giant boobness sleeping in my nursing bra last time. Do the ones you suggest fit up to a k cup Tea? Sorry if that's a bit personal but they look like they only go to a g and I was a 34kk :(((

DizzyDizzy · 18/02/2013 19:28

i'm a 34E sometimes F. and the BEST bra's i've found are the crop top style bra's from primark. they're only about £4 for both a white and black one, REALLY comfy to sleep in, and now i wear them during the day too. you can put breast pads in too, and they stay in place. the only thing is, obviously they're not GREAT quality, so only last about a month. but for £2 a bra, who cares?? definetly recommend!!! xx

DizzyDizzy · 18/02/2013 19:29

oh, they don't do bra sizes though, they're dress sizes, so obviously buy the bigger size. i'm normally a 12. and buy a size 14-16 bra top xx

Neena28 · 18/02/2013 19:44

Marks and spencer do a maximum support non wired bra. They are the best thing ever for sleeping in. I have 34 e/f and have to sleep in a bra or am so uncomfortable. Discovered these when pregnant with ds (now 12 years!) still sleep in one every night!!

Neena28 · 18/02/2013 19:49

Not sure if iPhone links very well sorry.

HazleNutt · 18/02/2013 20:05

I use Bravissimo pyjama tops with built-in bra. Very comfy.

I second the bravissimo pj tops! Had horrendous sore, swollen-feeling boobs in the first trimester. PJ tops have been an absolute godsend for me, although a bit pricey and I'd grown out of the one I bought in first trimester by the time i was 23 weeks - Have gone from a 30f to a 34g so far (am now 27 weeks). Where will they stop?? Shock

AnythingNotEverything · 18/02/2013 20:20

Great tips ladies. I've ordered the first suggestion, and will get myself to Primark as soon as I can!

Neiffer - maybe you could go up a back size or two and down a couple of cup sizes? The last link that soaccidentprone attached looks flexible enough to maybe work? Plus they're not too pricy!

Mumsnet beats google every time.

try eBay for bravissimo PJ tops and nightwear

Kopparbergkate · 18/02/2013 23:35

Alas, I'm the same size as neiffer and I don't think that anything that only goes up to a G will work if it only goes up to a 42....we need to go up 5 or 6 cup sizes from a G (H, HH, J, JJ, K, KK) but the maximum back size of 42 is only 4 sizes bigger (plus I think my saggy norks would fall out under the band if it was 8" too big :(

I think there is a bit of a gap in the market for KK+ maternity/nursing bras. Bravissimo have underwired non-nursing bras up an L cup which there's obviously a market for; what do the women who wear those wear when pregnant/nursing? The largest cup size nursing bra available is smaller!

AnythingNotEverything · 20/02/2013 22:37

Big thanks to TeaOperated - I bought the one you suggested and its so comfy!

I'm just settling in for my first night in it, but I can already feel the improvement.

I'm a 32g (prob a gg since my recent bfp) and got an L++. In truth it's a bit big round the back, but I figure I'm only going to get bigger from here on in!

I'll definitely check out Primark when I'm next in town though.

Thanks again ladies - here's to a comfortable night's sleep!

Useful thread!

I went from a 34c to a 36F/G last time and I didn't shrink much after. Those bras are now tight and am dreading the milk coming in days as nothing will fit!

AnythingNotEverything · 20/02/2013 22:50

In with you Ood. I'm only 6+2 so dread to think what I might look like in 34 more weeks.

I've grown so much I can't imagine anyone hasn't guessed I'm pg ...

Another vote for Bravissimo sleepwear.

Bejeena · 21/02/2013 08:29

I have some sports bras from Primark that I have been using for bed last few weeks. They are no good for actually exercising in as not enough support but am finding them ideal to wear to bed. I got them a couple of years ago though so they might not have same ones but you can try. I think it was a pack of 2 for £4

Smitten1981 · 21/02/2013 15:18

Hi everyone

I'm having the same issue. I'll be 6 weeks on Saturday and my boobs are killing me already.

I got one of the M&S secret support yoga tops goo.gl/kpW3U yesterday to sleep in, wore it for the first time last night and it was AMAZING.

It's also quite long so will hopefully cover a bump later on without riding up. I'm a 36F and got the size 16 which fits ok. I might get another one in an 18 though for later on!

Best of luck xx

Neiffer · 21/02/2013 18:06

Totally agree with you koppar, given our already gigantic boobs get even bigger what do they think we do for nursing bras? Second the problem with back sizes, mine would probably just fall out the bottom :/ its incredibly frustrating. I am currently in a bravissimo pj too at night, just. Am really hoping I can use it for nighttime with pads in as its so much more comfy than a bra. But my boobs are already over the top sigh

DewDr0p · 21/02/2013 19:25

John Lewis had the biggest cup sizes when I was bfing, up to M cup iirc. (I didn't quite need that but wasn't far off!)

At the time Bravissimo feeding bras only went up to a G!! I sent them an email complaining so I like to take credit for the better range they stock now Wink

Iirc I grew a lot in the early weeks then boob size was quite stable until 3rd trimester.
