Not baby hiccuping, but pulsating?

Slightly concern. 40 + 1 today and bump is pulsating or having a spasm, every few seconds for a few minutes. Baby is moving around just fine. But what is the pulsating thing, does anybody know? Worth calling anybody about or should I just take a nap?

Can't help I'm afraid as a total noob and only 18 weeks gone, but could it be your pulse that you can feel through the bump? That's what I thought when I saw the title...

mixxy I've been getting exactly the same feeling for a few weeks now (I think our due date is also the same day!!)

I have no idea what it is, but as all other movements seem to be ok I've just figured everything is fine & got on with it. So would be interested to see if anyone else knows anything about it. Mine doesn't seem like my pulse, it just feels like very regular, timely movements that last for a few minutes! Xx

Hey can Yes we were both due the 17 th ! I'll be at the doctors later on today and I'll see if I can get us an answer.

Oo great, yep let me know what the doc says :) il try my midwife tomorrow if you don't get a answer!

And nope nothing seems to be happening, our babies must be too comfortable! Fingers crossed for us both soon :) xxx
