Paracetomol for braxton hicks/early labour?

I am 39+4 with dc2, dc1 came at 40+2 by period type pains, then a show, then increasingly intense/regular contractions (total labour 10ish hours).

Last night I had quite sharp stomach pains/back ache. Thinking it may be the start of things, I went to bed to try&get some sleep. Woke up twice in the night for the toilet with no pains. Woke up this morning with pains but only the same intensity they were last night.

I'm seeing the midwife for normal check at 1 but can I take paracetomol in the meantime? I'm suposed to be taking dc1 to the park this morning! Feel a bit daft as with dc1 labour was obvious but not sure if this is just braxton hicks going up a notch.

Please excuse typos, I'm on my phone with teeny tiny keyboard. Thanks in advance&if anything exciting does happen, I'll keep you posted.

Yep you can. My midwife told me to get on the paracetamol when I described similar discomfort when I saw her last week (38 week appt).

It takes the edge off. Hopefully all these aches and pains mean out bodies are gearing up!

Thank you&yes, I hope so too! Aware it could go on for some time yet so trying not to get hopes up too much. It's half term so want to be able to get out&about with ds1 too. Thanks for the advice.
