Extreme exhaustion- 1st Trimester

Exhaustion is taking over my life! I am 9 weeks with DC2 and totally beyond exhaustion. I could spend all day, every day in bed. I'm not normally dead lazy in case you were wondering. Anyone else in the same boat?. I've not been to see friends or family or even to the shops. Midwife says for some its normal, I'm not so sure.

Thinking about putting DD1 in childcare half a day a week to try to give me some resting space - anyone think this would be a good idea???

I know how you feel op, got my pfb 3 days ago & i'm already falling asleep whenever i sit down. The hormones have already taken over!

I am also pg with DC2 and spent most of the first trimester exhausted. I'm now 20 weeks and feeling a bit better, although still tired it's more manageable now.

I got through the first trimester by neglecting the housework, cooking only easy stuff, napping when DD did in the day, and going to bed really early. I haven't been doing as much as usual with DD but I figure that a few lazy weeks will be made up for by a playmate in the future :) Also DH picked up a lot of the slack, and has been really supportive (as he should!).

I really hate pregnancy exhaustion as I just never feel like I get enough sleep, even when I have had a good 9 hours. But I am reminding myself that it will get better.
