Question about 'the show'

Hi all
This is my 3rd pregnancy and I'm due tomorrow! Sorry if this sounds daft but I never experienced the show with my other two. One was induced after 11 days over due the other spontaneous 2 days over due.
I woke up thu at 5am to a small bloody show and an hour later started with contractions every 10 mins apart, this went on for ages and by 4pm they were down to 8 mins apart. I managed to drop off by 10pm and slept through most of them. I woke at 5am yesterday and nothing. So after 20 hours of labouring it stopped completely. Throughout yesterday I think I had about 4 shows all containing small pink bloody spots. Woke up today and I've had loads literally every time I go the loo. Would you be concerned if this was you or would you think it's all the start?

All sounds normal to me (veteran of 4 labours).

My third was very much like what you are experiencing now: a show (for the first time for me too) then lots of stop start contractions. Usually, contractions all through the night which stopped me sleeping, followed by nothing during the day. It got very tedious in the end, but obviously the baby came eventually.

Good luck.

Just to add, I take it you can still feel the baby moving? I think that is all you need to worry about at this stage.

How long did it go on for you struffle? Yes baby is moving but not a lot, I've been in twice this pregnancy with reduced movements and they said if it happens again they will prob induce me which is putting me off calling to see what they think.

Sorry, I didn't see this yesterday. It went on for 2-3 days as I recall. That was the contrqctions strong enough to stop me sleeping. Lots of Braxton Hicks before that. In the end, I was so fed up, I went into hospital just to get some attention, and they told me I was in established labour (I had no idea) and I had the baby about 4 hours later.

If i were you, if you haven't had the baby yet, and you are worried about movements, go in. The worst that can happen is that they induce you (not nice, I admit). At least you will get the waiting over and done with. Or they may just check you over and reassure you.

Hi struffle, just seen your reply :)
I called delivery suite at 1pm Sunday as was still having a lot of show and irregular contractions, cut a long story short it was a good thing I did call as I was 3cm dilated and in labour and gave birth to my son at 4.08pm, rapid delivery!!! X
