So, I will put the caveats and excuses up front and say this is doubtless a totally daft / bizarre question. But, despite having ingested what feels like every pregnancy book over the last 9 months, I don't recall having ever seen any info on this so I'm hoping someone can help.
I am 38+5 and have been fully embracing the nesting stage today. As I was cleaning the water off the inside of the utility room roof (and unusually satisfying it was too!) I got down off my step and noticed the skin on the palms of my hands and fingers were a uniform bright red. It went away quite quickly, no tingling or blotches like when you overheat, and wasn't itchy. It didn't appear to be a reaction to a cleaning product or me overheating as I wasn't using anything to clean with and was for once paying attention to not getting too hot. Since then, I noticed after washing my hands in cold water the same thing has happened a few times today.
This is obviously totally minor, painless and non-threatening but I was just curious if anyone else had experienced this and if it was just a physiological glitch in me, or pregnancy-related?
