Hi ladies I'm not sure if this the right place to post?
I have had two little boys and me and dh would love another but I am petrified of giving birth again. My first baby I was pushing for 2 hours his head came out but the rest of him wouldn't, after some manovering and the McRoberts manover he was born leaving me with a large 2nd degree tear which didn't heal properly and I had to have futher surgery 6 months later, he was 8lb 3. With my second child I delivered his head easily and was then told to stop, I was put into the McRoberts manover again and he delivered but needed oxygen. I was left with another large 2nd degree tear he was 8lb 6. I was just wondering if this sounded like shoulder dystocia? Would I have to go through another natural labour?
Sorry for the long post

Sounds like shoulder dystocia to me if they're using the McRoberts.

Were you thinking about ELCS this time?

Thank you flisspaps,
I was thinking elcs, i also suffered with spd in my last pregnancy, I have no idea how i would go about it though, i dont think i could go through another natural birth it was very scary.

It's something you could discuss with a consultant once you are pg (don't know about discussing it before) but certainly, I'd think you'd have a case for ELCS having had 2 SDs.

A MW might even suggest you see a consultant to discuss it.
