Kidney problems 24 wks

Little bubs is lying on the tube from my kidney to bladder causing fluid to back up and my kidney to swell. I was in hospital for a week 2 weeks ago. I've been told its not likely to resolve until bubs is born. I have good days where the pain is ok and awful days when it's really bad - the tiredness is awful too.
Up to 22 weeks I was suffering with HG too, which thankfully seems to have settled now.
My partner is keen for me not to return to work, and I have no idea what I should do. Has anyone else suffered with this? My pay is about to go down to half and I'm worried about being able to afford everything if I don't go back, but also don't know how I would cope on the bad days. Thanks in advance x

Yes! I was in agony at the weekend felt like my kidney was going to explode. I went to A and E and they said the same as you that the baby has been in a funny position and consequently I had a kidney infection. I was given some anti-biotics and some painkillers which seem to have done the trick. I am, like you, absolutely exhausted and have had to take a few days off work. I can't imagine coping with that pain on and off for the rest of the pregnancy. The doctor I saw told me to spend as much time as possible on my side (to move the baby) don't know if this would help you at all? You have my every sympathy, it's the worst pain I've ever felt. x

You have mine too! It really is horrors isn't it?!
I'm seeing the midwife tomorrow to ask a few questions. Only plus point is the pain isn't as bad as it was so hoping I manage to avoid a stent being put in!
