Hi,

I'm 25 weeks and woke up this morning suddenly feeling weak and dizzy. What could it be and what should I do?

Low blood pressure. Drink fruit juice twice a day and snack on sugary or high carb foods like fruit, cereal bars or toast - you need to be eating and drinking more regularly, particularly if your job would usually prevent this.

I had same thing at 26 weeks and midwife gave me a telling off.

I experienced dizzy spells btw about wk 20 and wk 30. My blood pressure has been a bit low throughout, but nothing excessive. It usually happened if I was too hot, or (weirdly) spent too long looking down (e.g. fiddling with phone while waiting for train) or if I hadn't drunk enough that day. I realised that I really haven't been drinking enough (and my urine at my 28 wk apt was really concentrated) and since I've been making more of an effort to drink more water I don't think I've had a dizzy turn.

Oh, I should add, I also had a few weeks where I'd feel really 'out of it' on the occasional day. Not under the weather or light headed, just a bit odd. Again, I think upping my water intake helped with this.

But, of course, if you're worried call the mw...

Thank you ladies! :)

My blood pressure was very low when I went for a check up, but as I am usually low, midwife wasn't concerned.

I need to start drinking more water!
