Can anyone tell me if I can eat tesco healthy living cottage cheese and phillidelphia light? I think they say pasteurised but the midwife said no soft cheese so now I'm confused. I didn't feel like eating much in my first pregnancy so I don't think I had this problem before.

Philly is fine, it's pasteurised, I've gone through tubs and tubs of it this PG. I would have thought cottage cheese is fine too. Check the tub, if it's been pasteurised or is made with pasteurised milk it's fine.

If it's mould ripened or unpasteurised it's best avoided unless it's cooked.

Yep both fine. All shop bought cottage cheese should be pasteurised. Enjoy!

Phew I'll add to my tesco shop. Hubby just being overs precortious, this wasn't planned but we want to protect the little blob as much as we can xx
