Varicose Veins and bump growth in 24hrs

My bump has grown loads today. I'm 20wks +5 and it really is so much bigger.

Along with this I have noticed tonight varicose veins have spread to below my knees .

Please tell me the veins will get better once birth is over and extra weight has been shifted!

Hey I know a fair bit about varicose veins. This is my not very scientific explanation. Unfortunately your tendency to vv's was there already. You will have inherited valves that don't close properly in your main skin vein ( long saphenous). So don't blame your baby blame your mum!! The extra pressure from the pregnancy puts pressure on the valves making vvs you have there already fill and new ones start to be created. Once they are they they don't ever go but they might not be "filled" so much once the pressure from pregnacy has gone so they may go down . That's if they are vvs- only vvs if you can feel them with eyes shut. Spider veins are the thready things. You can treat vvs although not as much on nhs due to cut backs!

I too have suffered with a particular swollen vein on my left leg with my first two and now my third, I have a few bruise like veins anyway thanks to Mum and Gran but mid way through pregnancy the worst one swells and itches terribly to the left of my shin. I saw the midwife last time and was told to use arnica and pretty much sent on my way. I do worry how much it swells by and the fact it is so irritated.

I am affected by varicose veins. And my both legs are swollen with some purple colour dots. I am afraid. please let me know if there is clinic with painless treatment.
