Should I get an early scan?

Hi everyone,

My EPU has a walk in clinic every morning so you can self refer for an early scan if you have concerns. I have just recovered from a quite violent stomach bug, after extensive advice from dr google it seems that this shouldn't have done any harm to my baby unless I were to become severely dehydrated. I do feel a bit dehydrated but not dangerously so as I have been very conscious of keeping drinking water even though it was making me violently sick!

I should be 11 weeks tomorrow, and I really want to go to the epu for a scan just for reassurance that everything is ok with baby even though I know it should be. I have had really violent stomach cramps obviously but of the stomach bug variety rather than anything resembling period cramps but it still just feels worrying that the baby has had to go through that and as the service is there...

However, I really don't want to waste nhs resources so....should I go or just suck it up and just wait 2 weeks for my regular scan?

Go. There's no point putting yourself through 2 weeks of worry for nothing.
