Likely hood of 2nd baby being early too??

Am 34 weeks with DC2, DS was born 2 weeks early, just wondering if it's likely this baby will be early too?. . . In which case I really need to get my finger out & get organised!!

DS1 arrived at 36+6 weighed in at 5lb 12 oz.
DD2 arrived 2weeks late weighing in at 10lb
its anybodies guess chubby, so id just like to say expect the unexpected, and best of luck

I was told that an early first meant an early second. DD1 was born at 37 weeks.

At 40+5 with the second, I MAY have said something a little bit rude to my midwife.

DS was born at 38+3
DD was born at 40+4

I would quite like it to be late as I don't finnish up work until I am 38 weeks, don't wanna go into labour the day after! Would at least like a couple of weeks to myself. . Well as much time as you get whilst running about after a 3 year old!

DS was born 3 weeks early. DD was on her due date. I thought that I'd definitely be early with DD, but that wasn't how it panned out.

DS1 was born 37 weeks
DS2 was born 37 weeks + 1
I'm hoping DC3 will arrive on time and not early, pushing him / her into September!! I'm planning on doing nothing in August and sitting with my feet up! Reality is though, DC3 will be 3 weeks early too, I'd be shocked if he / she isn't

the stats of this thread so far : 7 out of the 10 babies born came early, all between 36-38 weeks

Mine have been

• 40 weeks exactly, 9lb
• 38 weeks, 10lb
• 37+3, 6lb 14oz
• twins at 24 weeks, tiny!
• 37+6, 6lb 15oz

I'm hoping this one will be nearer 37 than 40 weeks too....

DS 35+5
DD 35+6
I'm hoping to make it to 36 weeks this time, but certainly don't expect to go full-term!

DD born at 39+3
Ds at 38 on the button
My doc reckoned he'd be early but don't know that this was based on my previous experience or his size....

DC1 2 weeks and a day early.
DC2 4 weeks and a day early. Didn't have anything organised, no hospital bag was a nightmare last minute dash to stuff things in a bag and send DH off to buy maternity pads, breast pads etc! I would get organised just in case!
