2nd baby - 3/5 engaged since 36wks, now 37 wks

Midwife notes say 2nd babies only tend to engage when labour is imminent - anyone know whether this is true or not? I don't feel even close to labour aside from being so uncomfortable with low baby but would love to know if I might go early as if so I need to get myself organised!!!

I think 2nd babies sometimes engage last minute but not necessarily. I've been 3/5 since 36 weeks but due today and still no sign. I had a panic at about 37/38 weeks at got my ass into gear but now feel like I'm twiddling my thumbs!

Oh boo. I was hoping it meant baby coming sooner rather than later!

My baby #4 was 3/5ths at 34 weeks and stayed there until he was born at 40+8 after walking around at 6cm dilated for a week!!

6 dilated for a week!! Oh god I am really hoping to have one of those early, super fast, super easy 2nd deliveries without any intervention .....not entirely sure why I have any belief this can happen given that everything that could go wrong with dd1's birth did go wrong!!!
