I am flying from Cyprus to UK next week. I will be 11 weeks when I fly and I will be 12+6 when I fly back to Cyprus. Do I need to use flight stockings in the 1st trimester?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I would say yes - talk to your midwife :)

Um i don't know if you're meant to, but i (un-knowingly) flew at about 5 days preg without them and was fine!?

Have you had any issues with your circulation so far?

LittleDonkin · 06/02/2013 16:00

No problems with circulation so far

I def think if your only in 1st tri its not a problem I was into 3rd and my flight was 6 hours!!! My feet were swollen for 2 weeks as I didn't
Think I needed them as I was getting up and being quite active in flight!
There no harm in having them I think!
Better safe then sorry - speak to GP or MW may be your best bet!!!

Good luck and enjoy

I flew at 11 weeks (3.5hr flight) and midwife made me promise to wear them.

LittleDonkin · 06/02/2013 16:31

I will give MW a ring in the morning

I'm a pilot, I wear flight socks every time I got to work! (I fly longhaul though)

As long as they fit correctly it won't do any harm.
