36+3 & been awake (for the 10th day in a row) 1am-4am.......why?! What's the biological benefit of insomnia?? After already having had dd1 I don't buy into 'our bodies preparing us for newborn disrupted sleep' as I can remember it in no way helped to start life with a newborn ALready knackered from pregnancy insomnia!!

Anyone else up?

Yes, me. It's really annoying isn't it? On plus side am getting lots of washing/housework done, planning on napping later when toddler does.

Oh you're so good. I've just laid in bed reading the Internet for hrs. Def hoping to nap when toddler does later though

You are right, there seems no point at all to it though. Are you on maternity leave? I'm thirty two weeks with two weeks at work left, luckily dont work wed!

I remember this being a nightmare in my third pregnancy, was awake from 35 weeks at two am permanently and worked til 40+2. Was thoroughly unimpressed.

I started maternity leave last week thankfully. Don't think could do work on top of beached whale feeling & zero sleep. Although working was on occasionally a tad easier than chasing a 20 month old around all day.

I'm thinking of turning to wine to get to me sleep tomorrow!
