How soon after pregnancy did your feet go back to your normal size?

Afternoon all!

I'm 29 weeks today and my feet are suddenly a size bigger as well as a hell of a lot wider.

I've found some comfy size 5 shoes in Fat Face for £40, but feel that's a lot of money for shoes I may only wear for a short while. Baby is due in April.

So how long did it take your feet to go back to their usual size / your pre-pregnancy shoes?

Thansk!

Pregnant again & they're getting wider.

Never for me too I'm afraid...

AnaisB · 05/02/2013 14:38

A few days.

ToffeePenny · 05/02/2013 14:39

About 7 months. It seemed to happen when I returned to work and got out of my flats and back into insanely high heels.

worsestershiresauce · 05/02/2013 15:33

They don't, they stay bigger forever!

atrcts · 05/02/2013 15:34

It took 6 months for me but i did return to my normal size.

I was very oedematous though, for the whole of the last trimester, and had pitting oedema all the way up my legs and even into my lower abdomen, so am not surprised it took months to return back to normal. Hang in there and good luck Smile

Mine never did!

littleducks · 05/02/2013 15:39

Mine didn't. First time I went from 6 to 6.5/7 but am stuck at 8 after second pregnancy.

mmmmsleep · 05/02/2013 15:40

Never but almost got there after 9m...pregnant again but until almost term didn't get bigger. Last time was v v swollen with pre eclampsia and dare i say it a little bit of chocolate brownie associated "water retention" too but the ligaments etc do all relax in pregnancy and everything speads out a little...which actually means you need better quality shoes...my feet got v sore if i wore those fashionable cheap thin soled ballet pump things when pregnant.

GraceSpeaker · 05/02/2013 15:40

A week!

chrisrobin · 05/02/2013 15:42

Mine never went back to their original size, much to my mothers annoyance as she can now no longer borrow my shoes!

Bluebell99 · 05/02/2013 15:42

Mine didn't go back to prep pregnancy size, was always a 6, now 6 and half to 7.

JudithOfThePeace · 05/02/2013 15:44

5 years later, I'm still waiting for them to go back to their normal size!

VerySmallSqueak · 05/02/2013 15:45

Mine didn't - I went from a 5 to a 6.
I did have massively swollen feet in my first pregnancy though.

moanymandy · 05/02/2013 16:30

I was pg in summer with ds and my feet looked like they had been blown up!! they were very swollen but they pretty much went straight back to normal size as soon as ds was born so there is hope for you yet! Grin
