I'm sure lots of people will be able to help but if you have a wee look under topic > products > breast bumps there are a lot of existing threads that discuss the pros and cons of each.

I was looking at it myself this morning to see if my Tommee Tippee bottles would fit on the Medela pump Smile.

me again too! i started with a manual as i wasnt sure if i was going to BF, or how long for or if expressing would work, if DS would take a bottle. it was ok for a bit, but for lots of expressing an electric seems to be better. medela are really good. i think it all depends on how much you plan to express - ie once he was one and i went back to work i needed to express more to send him to nursery with. i never really expressed much with DD as she would never take a bottle of EBM, only really started when i could leave her EBM with a cup.

might be worth trying ebay for a 'starter' pump (can get new ones on there) and see how you adn baby get on with expressing? the medela swing ones are quite expensive, but worth it if you express a lot and plan to have more children!
