Raspberry leaf tea

Will the yummy 'clipper' brand of raspberry leaf tea do the trick (ingredients list only 50% raspberry leaf) or do I need to get the more dishwater tasting holland & Barrett type teas? Am eager to ensure I don't go overdue so want to start drinking lots of tea!

It won't stop you going over your EDD.

It supposedly toned the uterus to make ctx stronger when you do go into labour.

I went to 40+15 with DD and drank it. Went to 40+11 (by hospital dates, 40+1 by mine) with DS, and drank less of it!

Doesn't stop you been overdue unfortunately just tones uterus to make contractions stronger and more efficient. Which my contractions were strong but spent 5 days in labour, so didn't rate it that much tbh. When ds1 without any tea was a 4hr labour. I used the Holland&barret and actually thought it was quite nice

I drank the holland and Barrett and added honey to improve the taste. I had a fab birth, really effective contractions, so good I didn't push once. My uterus did it on its own! I started at 34 weeks and went from one cup up to about 3 or 4 per day by 39 weeks when I went into labour. Of course it may have nothing to do with the raspberry leaf tea but you never know Smile good luck

And I should have said 4.5 hour labour from waking with tummy ache to delivery Grin

I will add, DD was a 17 hour induction with syntocinon, DS was 29 hours from first ctx to birth.

Anything is worth a try I reckon!

I took the tablet form and afraid to say I went 8 days overdue and also had a long drawn out labour ending in an assisted delivery, so won't be bothering this time around! Wink
