Big bump @ 14 weeks

Hi all I am 14 weeks with baby#2 and I already have a considerable bump. To the extent that one of the girls in work who hasn't seen me for a few weeks was gobsmacked when she saw it and asked if they had got my scan date right!! Is it common to have a bigger bump 2nd time around or am I growing a monster?

Do you find you can 'pull it in' a lot if you tense your tummy muscles to try and flatten your stomach? I'm 13 weeks with dc2 and find if I completely relax my muscles I have quite an obvious bump but I can also hold my stomach muscles and it's a lot smaller. I think because it's all stretched out a lot before already there's not enough power to hold it in if that makes sense. It doesn't feel like a proper, hard bump to me yet, just like I'm not very toned and it's forming a bump shape because that's what it's done before.

Or you could just have an early bump

It does pull in if I tense but its still noticably (spelling?) there. It still a little soft and squishy but feeling more 'pregnant' everyday. I like it but just worried how big its gonna get! Better get fat pants out of storage lol

Wish I had a bump, I'm 16 weeks with #2 and nothing yet : (

I was showing really early with number 2 -lots of twin jokes!

No. 2 was exactly the same size as no. 1 and by 6 months the bump was the same size in both pregnancies

I think its a 2nd pg thing. I've been in maternity wear since 8 weeks and with DC1 I finally gave in and bought maternity pants around 26 weeks.

I'm 14 weeks with my second and also have a bump. In my first pregnancy I didn't start showing till about 17 weeks, this time it was 12! It's definitely a bump, not fat. One of my friends has said that your stomach is a bit like a balloon - if it has been stretched once already, it will stretch easier and faster second Time round.

Yes im preg with baby2 and i look 6 months preg. With baby1 i still had a flat tummy at 4 months preg. Im 16 weeks btw
