I'm approx 4 weeks pregnant but today I had some bleeding, it was more than spotting but not as heavy as my usual periods. Is this normal? Should I be worried? I'm really worrying, don't know what's going on

Could it be an attachment bleed? Where foetus attaches to Uterine wall.

No bleeding is good, get yourself checked out at the docs.
If you are only 4 weeks then presumably you have got an early BFP, could be a chemical pregnancy.

I've had light period bleeding with both my pregnancies (and both times before I realised I was pregnant - the bleeding was heavy enough to convince me that I couldn't be pregnant actually). So while you should probably have a chat to the doctor I wouldn't panic just yet.

I had a small bleed around 5 weeks with my eldest. Must have been implantation I think. My sister had loads of small bleeds throughout her first pregnancy but all was fine. Am sure it'll be nothing but if you're worrying you might as well see someone and get your mind put at rest.

Sorry, as I pressed post I realised that doesn't make any sense. I've had light period type bleeding during the first month with both my pregnancies. One resulted in a now 2 year old, the other's still cooking. Hope that's a bit clearer.

Thanks everyone, that's helped! I've been sitting here in tears I've never been pregnant before so I don't know what to expect. Having babies is stressful stuff!

This pregnancy I had slight bleeding - a little more than spottting - when my period was due, for a few days. Must have been an implantation bleed as I'm now 22 weeks!

I had two mcs before this pregnancy and in both the bleeding was much heavier than a normal period, with cramps and clots - entirely different.

Fingers crossed all is well for you.

The exact same thing happened to me at 4weeks and after a trip to hospital and some early scans it ended up just being implantation bleeding. I would get it checked just to be on the safe side and for peace of mind x

Same thing happened to me first 2 pregancy had spotting which ended in mcs. Baby number 3 same spotting got booked for early scan, everything was great . Had bleed on and of for first 5 month's had my lovely ds who is now 8 . try to relax it's good for baby. Have you been to doctor yet? May want to book you infor early scan . Have you any pain? Good luck

I had fairly heavy bleeding with clots for first 11 weeks of my last pregnancy and now have a healthy 2.5 year old. Try not to worry...bleeding doesn't necessarily mean the worst xx
