My first was 8lb 4oz. She was 15 days late.

i am terrified my next one is going to be a monster! I am much bigger this time round (although i am a slim build 5ft 6) - i already look like i did at 7.5 months last time and im only 20 weeks.

How do you know if your going to have a big baby.

How much bigger in comparision was your second to your first?

Thanks :-)

Nearly 2lbs lighter.

But:
a) DS1 was 10lb 1oz and
b) DS2 was 2 weeks early.

ds was 7lbs 7oz born a week early
dd was 6lbs 10oz born two weeks late.

So no, second wasn't larger. But I was.. a uterus that's already been stretched once stretches much more readily second time. I was in maternity clothes at 17 weeks with ds, but at about 8 weeks with dd. Everything just felt bigger but she was quite a bit smaller (in fact I had growth scans at 32 and 36 weeks because she was small)

My dd first child was born weighing ten lbs and eight oz.
My ds was born weighing seven lbs and six ounces. My daughter was also longer too.
I suspect 'the difference was that I garza much better handle on my diet and exercise during my second pregnancy, I also was not caught unawares by spd, like I was in the first pregnancy, when I hadn't even heard of it, so as soon as it kicked in I took measures to deal with it, which meant I was a lot more mobile with ds.
