Ok so im 37+4 and last night and today iv been getting damp in the pant area. Today it was like id peed but i hadn't. I lost my plug nearly 2 weeks ago and have been getting little pains since yesterday but only niggley pains.

Im scared to call my midwife as then she may tell me im going to have a baby soon and to be deadly honest im now scared stiff of that fact.

so MN come tell me if im in labour :D

Mine had an almost bleachy smell to them, similar to semen. Pop a pad on, lay down for an hour and see if you leak when you stand.

I was told last time by MW in labour ward that the waters smell like straw? I would pop a pad on and contatct Labour Ward if it is wet quickly they may want to give you a check over if it is your waters. Also they might ask you to take a pad in so they can smell/see for themselvs.

FugitiveFannyFarts · 31/01/2013 17:30

I put a new pad on and lay down for an hour and nothing... wonder what it was if it wasn't waters though as there was too much to be discharge and not wee because it didn't smell like wee.

Sorry but you should get checked out and not procrastinate .
My waters went 9-10 weeks early and baby born same day.
I messed about hosting a book party, shopping for bread etcc before getting myself toGP.!
Luckily all turned out OK but once waters gone you are prone to infectionI did not t want to believe it was happening either and this was before the days of Mumsnet when I only had my Miriam Stoppard book to consult.
