I hate to sound rude towards the midwives in my hospital but I'm so annoyed!

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and the past week i have been feeling so crap! I've been feeling so ill since Friday morning. My feet have suddenly swollen up like purple balloons along with my legs and sometimes even my hand. On Saturday I decided to take my BP at home just because i was curious. took it three times in an hour and the average was 157/102 so i rang my midwife who advised me to go to labor ward. I went and funnily enough when they started measuring my BP it started out high but over 30 minutes went down so i got sent home. I was happy It had gone down because i thought it must have just been stress. Monday morning i started having headaches that did no go away no matter what i did even with painkillers! Tuesday afternoon i was still having the headaches and my legs and hand suddenly went extremely swollen i immediately rang my GP for advice and went in for an urgent appointment 30 minutes later. He took my BP 4 times while i was there and each time it was high 160/100 average but no protein in my urine. Once again this morning my midwife came to see me at home upon my GP's request and my BP was high so they sent me to labor ward to get checked out. After 5 hours of tests they had no explanation for the high BP i have had for the past week!

If any one has had anything similar please give some advice!! I'm fed up of going to hospital all the time!!!

I think perhaps your stress and annoyance is the reason, not the product, of your blood pressure?

Try and do things that are low stress, like going for long walks and listening to your favourite music. Sorry I can't offer any more advice but I can't think of anything medically that could be wrong xx

Can't help with high BP.

I did have really bad oedema at that stage (it was August and blooming hot, mind!). Reflexology really helped me, and very relaxing. The lady even came to my house to do the treatment, bliss! Just a thought.
