Odds of baby moving into WRONG position after being in correct position?

Baby was breech until just before 37 weeks, when a sonogram showed that he was head down. He's still moving about a lot. What are the odds that he will move again into a different position and be out of position at the start of labour?

I can't say what the odds are but it happened to me. DD put her head down fairly late (like your DC) and never engaged. Because she had moved so much and so late, they scanned me a lot towards the end. She was head down the week of my due date but when I went in for an induction on 40+1 she was breech again, so I had an ELCS next morning.

Given how late your baby is turning maybe request they keep scanning you? They weren't able to tell the position by examining me clinically -- even the consultant.

I wasn't diagnosed with excessive amniotic fluid, but I think I must have been on the high side or DD wouldn't have had room to turn so much. With my current pregnancy they are monitoring me for polyhydramnios, but it's still borderline.

Aside from the unexpected CS everything went fine though! Good luck.

Hhmmm, my C-Section appointment was cancelled because the sonogram showed head down. There was no extra fluid present at the scan. Damn it! I can feel him moving into a different position and I dont think the 'drop' thing has happened for me.

Rats! I'll have to wait until next Tuesday for my next doctors appointment. Just love those internal exams...* sigh *
