18 weeks pg and painful episiotomy scar

hi, I am 18 weeks tomorrow. I had a forceps delivery and episiotomy with ds who is 11 months and my episiotomy scar is now sore and I can feel pressure on it, almost like it's swollen. I had the same feeling during af for a couple of cycles after the birth but then it went back to normal. Has anyone else had this? Just wondering if it's anything to worry about or if it's just normal as the baby is getting bigger? Thanks

I could have written this post rhubarb! I'm 17 weeks and son is 12 mths old, forceps with an episiotomy. The whole area feels sore and like there's pressure there. Don't know why so ill be watching this thread!

Looks like it's just us neiffer but bumping just in case. It's reassuring that you are having it too, makes me think more like it's just normal

I could have written this too! Am 17 wks and was on my feet a lot yesterday and was in agony, lots of pressure and achy feeling down below and even in my lower back. I had forceps and episiotomy too, mentioned it to my midwife and she thought it was because of extra blood flow to the area, which makes sense as I used to get similar pain on first day of periods.

I am hoping that as the baby gets bigger and moves up into my tummy it will get better...

I also get a sharper pain down there when getting out of bed in the morning, does anyone else get that?
