Hi....... I never had this with DD but my skin is really dry and starting to flake has anyone else had this? I use Vaseline intensive care coco butter moisturising body oil every day after my shower yet I'm still beginning to resemble a reptile Hmm x

Oh my god, this is such a massive side effect for me too! My skin is literally flaking off, especially around where I wear my bra and where my bump is growing. It wakes me up in the night, my skin is so tight and uncomfortable. I have been slathering on E45 about 7 times a day, and also using the E45 soap substitute which actually does help. You can get it from Boots, it's fragrance free and sort of coats your skin for a little while. Sounds gross but normal soaps and gels are just not an option for me anymore!

Are you in first trimester? I had terribly dry skin and my eczema came out all over my body, I just kept slathering on the cocoa butter/ lotion - I used palmers but also the body shop body butter is nice (I couldn't use this as it made me vomit due to the strong smell!). I still had scars from the eczema up until 20 weeks but then my skin had become less dry. It's fine now at 33 weeks as long as I use moisturiser at least once a day all over. I found using oils like bio oil or baby oil made my skin a lot worse and quite sore. A non-greasy cream will do. If you have your free prescriptions yet you could ask your GP to prescribe a big bottle of E45 or sometimes there are special offers in Boots etc.

I'm now 37 weeks so the end is in sight! But I'd rather not shed my skin on top of all the other things we have to contend with! X
