I saw my m/w today. I am 28 weeks pg, and baby measures 31+++. She rang the hospital while I was there and got me an appointment with my consultant tomorrow morning. She said not to worry, but the speed of the appointment has made me panic a bit.

Has anybody had this, reassure me please??!!

my measurements were well over the stated weeks

i didnt have big babies - 7lb 6oz and 7lb 1oz

i asked the mw about it after giving birth and she said i had an enormous amount of fluid (i remember the tidal waves over the birthing room floor and a sopping wet mw) so it could have been all fluid

and im quite small (5') so when baby was growing it was all out as there was no room to go up or down

dont worry hth

Had it the other way - baby measured 34 weeks when I was 38 weeks - he was 8lb 1oz at 40+4 so think they're often quite a bit out.

Appointment probably came up quickly because the consultant's running an antenatal clinic tomorrow - it's likely they'll do a glucose tolerance test to check possible diabetes - they do that at 28 weeks (another possible reason for the speed of the appointment).

Only had urine tested, trace of protein today, but m/w said it was probably because it wasn't a new pot.
