Hi all,
I had fairly mild pains yesterday which felt quite normal.
I was woken at 5am by the pain I was having down down below. Felt like a horrendous period pain but much further down than usual period (front bottom area). It felt a tad relieved when I went for a wee.
I then had what I assume are BHs for the next hour quite painfully - like tightenings and releasings. As well as odd pains down in pubic area.
Had thicker discharge than usual yesterday but no blood.
Woke up and my one boob has been leaking.
I am 38 weeks today.

What are your thoughts?

I love a good live birth thread but if you insist on using the expression 'front bottom' then I might have to bow out.

Sounds promising though!

Good luck :)

would you prefer fanny?
I was being vaguely ironic / following my Mirander theme.

Hmm, I'm not sure. What you describe went on for weeks before the baby arrived, for me. It sounds like things are going in the right direction though.

If I were you I would get down on all fours scrubbing the floor and go for a long walk (or a walk if you can't manage a long one). That'll get the baby into position!

Try and ignore the pains if you can - keep yourself busy because if it is the start of labour and you keep focusing on the pain now, it will feel like you've been in pain for longer, if that makes sense. Once you can't ignore the pain anymore that's when things should be really getting going.

Is this your first? Good luck :)

Oh thank you Robin - I completely get where you are coming from. However - rather than scrubbing the floor my plan for today is to sit and eat cake. Grin

Yes it is my first so every twinge I don't know if it's normal or not.
I am going to follow your advice though - if I can't take the pain that equals labour.

Thanks Smile

TBH, I prefer your plan! Great excuse to relax and eat cake :)

Maybe have a nice long nap too Wink.
It definitely sounds like things will be happening soon. How exciting, keep us posted!

Oh I hope so - I am desperate for it to start.
Here here! Let them eat cake.
