Hello

Currently coming upto 18weeks and every midwife appointment my blood pressure is lower each time.

She just said drink plenty as they can't give me anything for it

My question is if my bp is low will it effect baby with blood not getting round quick enough
Mw said its likely to get worse Hmm

I have low BP and have never been told that it's risky: just a pain when I feel light-headed.

Just make sure that if you feel light-headed you sit down as soon as possible - if you faint then there's a risk you could hurt yourself or the baby if you fell funny.

Yes I agree, more about the side effects of has on you. Drinking plenty is key but the other thing to consider is increasing your salt intake slightly - that can help.

Ditto. You might find you start to actually crave salty foods like crackers and salty crisps etc. Early in I couldn't get enough of salt and vinegar crisps! It's the high BP that can causes the most complications. Just take it easy and eat regularly.

Its shit isnt it! Mine was 60/40 at one point last time! Couldnt watch hospital dramas, because people with higher BPs than me were getting defibrilated! Grin It didnt do either of mine any harm, but the feeling faint was shit!

Always have low BP here (never much higher than Saggy's) too, even out of pregnancy. You'll be fine, the dizzyness is the most dangerous part so try to take it easy.

Far worse if it was high BP.
