I know this comes up a lot but going out of my mind with worry. He's never been a big kicker but I've always felt little movements in the evening when I lay down. Nothing for days now. I've tried rubbing my belly, ice water, sugary food. So worried he's not ok. Midwife seemed a little worried but said shes sure hes ok. im 25w4d.

Have you been checked over in person?? Or just over the phone?

I would contact your local maternity unit and insist of going in to get a trace. You haven't felt your baby move for a few days, that is not normal. Please seek medical assistance.

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 27/01/2013 22:41

Please ring your maternity unit, you need to get this checked out tonight.

Heavywheezing · 27/01/2013 22:41

Please go this evening and get somebody o listen to your baby, if it's only to put your mind at rest

AlisonL1981 · 27/01/2013 22:41

Saw her 4 days ago and there was a heartbeat. She just said some women don't feel it. I know I'm probably worrying for nothing, just wish he'd let me know he's ok.

Call ADAU and tell them everything you have just said. They need to at least have a listen for a heartbeat not just fob you off.

Ring them and demand you be seen.

I was back to back with DS2 and I couldn't feel many movements but at that stage I did get some definite movements.

Good luck.

wifey6 · 28/01/2013 07:43

Alison...any change in baby's movements need checking out & also to put your mind at rest that baby is ok.
Baby is probably just having a quiet few days...but please get yourself to your MW or hospital just to let them check baby.

Emsyboo · 28/01/2013 07:52

Get checked out today ASAP
Sometimes you don't feel baby as much but it is better to get checked out

Moominsarescary · 28/01/2013 08:35

Phone the hospital and go in for a trace

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 28/01/2013 09:02

What they ^^ said. This is very important.

AlisonL1981 · 28/01/2013 18:09

Thank you ladies. Went in today and it was good news. It did take them I long to find his heartbeat but found it eventually!

Woohoo! Grin good news!

GlaikitFizzog · 28/01/2013 18:24

Phew, that's great. Do you know if you have an anterior placenta? That could be the reason for you not feeling kicks strongly. Although I was we'll over 25 weeks before I felt regular kicks. Never put off getting checked if you are ever worried again. No maternity unit would ever turn you away.

Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly.

Kafri · 28/01/2013 18:53

Crikey, how the hell did you have the patience to wait days, I was fretting after a few hours of it dawning on me I hadn't felt anything!

You should never be concerned about ringing for reassurance. My mw always said to me to ring with ANY concerns and that it don't take long to do a check and put my mind at rest which ultimately is better for both mother and baby.

I had anterior placenta so was late feeling things a d then they were muffled.

Consider yourself told off by everyone in here for not calling in sooner! Lol.

Glad everything turned out ok for you, hope the rest goes smoothly.
X
