I am 7 weeks + 2 and saw my GP 2 weeks ago. I have an antenatal appointment at the surgery at week 10 but when am I likely to know when my 12 (ish) week appointment at the hospital is? Just so I know when to jump up and down if nothing comes through - I don't want to miss my scan!!

Mine scan appointment came through the post at about 10 weeks after I'd had my booking in appointment with the midwife

Oh dear. Was your booking in appointment at the GP surgery or the hospital and what week were you?

I didnt have a booking in appointment just went to GP to say i was pg, and i got a scan appointment through the post a few weeks later, i had my first MW appointment after the scan at antenatal.

my midwife came to my house to do my booking in appointment when I was about 8 weeks. It made me laugh her going on about taking folic acid, what not ot eat etc - I felt like saying 'well if I didn't know all that it would be a bit serous after 8 weeks!!'

Thanks - it sounds like any combination works. I shall start hopping if I haven't heard anything in a couple of weeks. Smile

Bloo - Congratulations.
I had my first scan booked by the midwife at my booking in appointment, she rang and booked it for me there and then and gave me the form that i needed to take with me. PLus she booked my 20 wk scan as well at the same time.
I would ask at your midwife appointment.

I don't think I have an appointment with a midwife - I think it's with the GP. I have no idea what's happening at all in fact!

Bloo, I'm 8wks and my mw and scan are on the same day in week 12 (opposite times of day - great for planning time off work!). My GP office booked both when I rang up to say I was pg. The mw appt is at the GP surgery - maybe your's is the same? They told me I'd receive confirmation of scan appt from hospital around 2 weeks before the appt.
