TMI WARNING TURN BACK NOW IF ITS TOO EARLY FOR YA....

i had diarear last week which lasted 4 days since then nothing at all until this morning i woke with horrible cramps- thought i was in labour and now regular toilet explosions, orange and watery and absoloutley loads and loads- how come there is that much in me?
anyway i feel sick and faint too. i did not eat anything strange.

going to drs today for emergency appointment might entail me waiting in large standing queue outside the surgery for hours which i am not up to.

will baby be ok? i am 31 weeks. have been twice whilst writing this, i am worried.

Aww hun!!! Poor you.
Not much I can suggest as you're doing the best thing. Baby will be fine hun, you'd be surprised just how resiliant (sp?) they are. Remember, they're like little parasites and take everything they need, even if it means you're left with nothing. Try and keep drinking water or clear fluids until you see the dr. What time's your appt?

slinkstah · 24/04/2006 08:27

i havent got an appointment as they won't be able to fit me in unless emergency. if i do that i will have to wait in the queue for a long while i don't think i can leave the loo for that long.

Take something like diralyte to keep your fluid and salt levels up, ask the pharmacist if it's OK to take in pregnancy.

HellKat · 24/04/2006 08:32

What about ringing your maternity unit or mw hun? They'll be able to say what to do next.

slinkstah · 24/04/2006 08:41

yes maybe ill ring them for advice when they open. wish i had some of that fluid replacement stuff, i cant chance running to the chemist right now.

Ring dr now and explain you think you've missed the call.

Lucozade Sport is as good as Dioralyte if you have it in the house - DH swears by lemon barley water.
Or have squash, or Ribena, or flat coke, or even plain water with a spoonful of sugar - any clear fluid you can keep down will help.

Dry toast or crackers and honey when you're feeling up to it.

diddle · 24/04/2006 12:32

aww slink - i knew from the title that this must be you.
I'd call the doctors and tell them that you need to see a doctor right now, and you can't come and sit around for ages and you have the runs and you're pregnant and very worried.
Have you been drinking many citrus drinks, orange juice especially??

slinkstah · 24/04/2006 12:46

dr rang and says she wants me to do a sampleBlush she also says i have to come in as she needs to check me out. so im gonna go there at 4ish - i am panicing about the journey, will i make it without squitsing me pants off!
