loans whilst pregnant

I'm going through a very rough patch.
I have no family to help, no friends. I have about 23p in pennies, no gas or electris and job centre have refused me a crisis loan due to the fact iv had 3 in the last 12 months.
I have no bank account to try get an over draft and provident have declined me.

Does anybody know any door step lenders for people on benifits who would help me?

I have, but they take up to two weeks, I'd starve by then.

Really? Used to be same day, but that was a few years ago I suppose. How on earth have you got here? Why didn't you look for options yesterday, or last week for example? There are always payday loan companies like wonga, but you have to be able to pay them back quite soon.

I think you'd be better off looking for help from a charity for the time being and then looking at managing your money better once you're back on your feet (not easy I know when you have little to start with!)

I think some electricity/gas companies have a reserve for people who are struggling, can you phone them up and see if they can give you something to last until payday? (NB I read this on another forum when struggling myself but haven't tried it so can't vouch if it's true)

Are there any food banks near you?

Do you have anything you can pawn or sell?

Salvation army are also very good and non judgemental.

Now they send you a form and you post it back and wait.
I was expecting to get paid monday I didn't think I would end up here. Its not like I planned it.

Try and stay away from loans and payday people, you will just end up in more trouble. Are you receiving all the benefits you are entitled to? Can you give us some more information about your situation, are you unable to work?

Did you appeal the crisis loan decision?

I would advise against pay day loans co's - extortionate interest charges.

How do you only have so little left and why do you keep getting into this situation? Seems you need help budgeting.

When will you get paid and what bills do you have in the meantime?

Don't get a payday loan.

I know how shit it is to be on benefits but you don't need a wonga loan or any other type of loan you need to get your money sorted out. I'm not judging and I'm not having a go but you shouldn't be needing crisis loans that often. Its hard I know I've been in tears more than once over our finances and right now can't see how we're going to afford a cot or pram but we haven't had a crisis loan ever.

Get over to moneysavingexpert or even better down to your local CAB they can refer you to a food bank for now so you won't starve and then give you some practical advice on running your money as you're obviously struggling.

What happened with your payment which was due monday? If it was lost in post the job centre will allow you to claim direct from them you just need to be at the office for a certain time. I'm presuming you're paid by giro since you mention needing an account for wonga.

So sorry you're in this situation.

It does seem as though you need some longer term help and I don't mean that in a judgey way, just if you can possibly avoid Wonga etc it'd be much better in the long run.

The CAB are great but v v busy and sometimes refer you on. Would suggest you try StepChange or NationalDebtline for free advice. They specialise in financial advice. They're not face to face like CAB - that's the downside, but are v v good.

Don't go for Wonga etc. If you can't manage on what you are currently getting, where would you find the money to pay back the EXCESSIVE interest as well as the loan?

When are you getting the next benefit? Could you work cash in hand for anyone?

yes, can you babysit, sell something, have anyone that could lend you £50 for now?

The OP does appear to be above board, that said we do advise all our members to be aware that not everyone on t'internet is who they say they are, and that, although we're awed daily by the astonishing support our members give each other through life's trickier twists and turns, we'd always caution anyone never to give more of themselves to another poster, emotionally or financially, than they can afford to spare.
