I am 35 and it is my first baby. A very happy accident as was told would not have children. My question is, what is the average weight should my baby be at 34week. My mother thinks 4.4lb is small at this point. Can anyone help.

They really can't tell accuratley from the outside. Not even with scans.

With dc1 on my due date after a little feel around for checks, mw said baby would be around 6-7lbs, pretty average she said. Dd was 8lb8 when born and I'm only tiny. It's all guess work try not to worry.

I think thats about the same as me. My baby was 6lb at 36+5 and they say they put on about half a pound a week at the end.My consultant said its all guesswork and nothing certain but that everything looked fine.

Mine weighed 4lb 4oz at 32 weeks, which gives an estimated birth weight of 8lbs. It's all guess work until the baby arrives though.

I'm slightly terrified as was told last week at 32 week scan that my "little one" already weighed 5lbs 9oz. Terrified.
