Hi all just wondered where i can buy lavendar oil from. i want it to put in the bath after birth.

Holland and Barrett, Boots, and any 'new age' type shops will have it.

I tend to buy most of my essential oils online, and shop around for the cheapest supplier.

I used lavender oil (in small quantities) during my pregnancy for relaxation, and sleep-inducing. It's good for healing so is an excellent bath addition post-birth. I found it helped with my CS scar. :)

I got mine from the local health food shop.

Also a tip I learned from the midwives at the MLU - put a little bit of milk in the bottom of a cup (or a quarter of a shot glass Wink), then add a few drops of the oil, then pour that under the running tap for your bath. Then it disperses in the water instead of floating on top.
