Need a whinge...

14 weeks with my second dc, I have a 20 mo ds.

I feel frigging horrendous! My feeling sick/violently and vocally retching throughout the day has progressed in to actually vomming. And now I have what feels like the worst cold where I'm blocked up, exhausted and achy.

I work four days a week with my day off spent doing work whilst looking after ds.

Oh, and dh works away for up to three nights a week. I'm a one of these that "copes" and so tend to just get on with it in rl. But I need a whinge.

Waaaaaaaaah Confused

I feel full of sympathy for you - dreadful that the sickness has continued and got even worse, and that you have so much to cope with on your own. I hope your dh treats you well when he is home, and gives you a rest from your ds. Sorry not to be much comfort, but I just wanted you to know that someone cares! I hope things get easier.

On a practical note - have you had the flu jab? And are you using antibacterial handwash? Also don't share things with ds if he's at nursery, as he'll be an incubator for everything and you're very vulnerable.

Thank you Gertrude. My dh is amazing when he's here, just not here enough! He's handed in his notice today so he'll be based in the same city which is brilliant news! But prob still a 3 month notice period to serve!

No flu jab yet. Ds had croup last week so I reckon I've picked this up from him. I'm fairly good on hand washing but could certainly be much better. Will get some sanitizer stuff I think.

Thanks again for sympathy. Very self indulgent post

Poor you early pregnancy is the awful combined with flu and sickness season and a boisterous 20 mnth no wonder you need a whinge!
I was ill this time with toddler to look after and because I wasn't massive just got the whole your pregnant not ill! Well actually I'd rather be ill at least you can take things and you know it will be over soon rather than 9 months of it getting worse!
Sorry I'm not helping but I am in my own way offering sympathy sending big hugs to you x x

In a similar situation and its rubbish! Have just got over the workd's worst cold, and at least I'm not feeling sick like you. But I'm the tiredest I've ever been and I just want to hibernate. No advice, just lots of sympathy!

Thx all for indulging me! Went to bed at 8.30pm last night and not working today so a whole 10.5 hours in bed! Whilst pg certainly affects the quality of sleep, you cannot beat a rest like that.

Feeling slightly less crap today and just excited about dh coming home tonight.

But (in true British style) it's blardy freezing outside! Blimey!
