Hi everyone hope you're all ok.
I've been on the infertility threads for the past year or so as we were struggling to conceive. Tried clomid and then metformin on top. Was booked in for surgery (lap & dye / ovarian drilling) last Friday. The morning of the op something made me test and we unbelievably got a BFP! Smile I've now done 8 tests! Booked in for an early scan on 4th Feb, we're finding it difficult to date as last period was 25th November and everyone was under the impression I wasn't ovulating.. When we now think I was, but just very late after all my scans on CD 10 and 18.
We were in total shock Friday as we were both geared up for surgery and what would happen after etc. We could not be happier. I am just petrified that all's ok. I'm a born worrier as it is! Midwife appt 7th Feb.
I suppose I wanted to give hope to anyone else who is going through fertility treatment but also to you pregnant ladies out there can I ask of any random symptoms you've had in early pregnancy? We think i'm around 6-7 weeks. I genuinely feel pregnant - boobs have changed and tender, little cramping every now and again and tired.
Any advice / support would be really appreciated! Smile
Take care x

Congratulations!!!! That's brilliant news. Hope you are able to relax after the scan.

Heavywheezing · 22/01/2013 16:48

Congratulations! How wonderful for you. Take it easy. See you on birth announcements soon

Wonderful news! Very exciting!! I had some morning sickness around that time, but nothing major. Also very tired! But my breasts didn't change that much. It's a bit different for everyone I think so don't panic if you don't have the same symptoms as other people!

Good luck!x

Kelerina · 22/01/2013 17:29

Congratulations!!! I didn't have too much in the way of symptoms at that stage (now almost 35 weeks- where has the time gone???), just sore boobs, tired and a bit of period style cramping.

I actually think the first few months are the hardest........it only gets better!!

Mands81 · 22/01/2013 18:08

Thank you Smile
In trying not to google anything as it always seems bad!
I feel very different, my tummy doesn't hurt, just 'feels pregnant'.
Roll on the scan x

Wonderful news, many congratulations! Avoid google for your whole pregnancy if possible!
With my first, at this stage I felt exhausted (drop asleep on the sofa at 6.30pm type tired), nausea starting and cramps. All started earlier this time.
Pregnancy is a rocky road and there's always something to worry about, so for now, just enjoy your wonderful result and look forward to that scan.

wifey6 · 22/01/2013 18:15

Congratulations Mand :-) I was in a similar position, ttc for 3 years, one failed IVF cycle and while waiting for the next cycle, I naturally conceived my DS (who is now 3) and we were totally blown away!

I had a mmc when my DS was 18 months, but am now 22 weeks pregnant with child number 2 - it amazes me when I think back on the conversations we had when we genuinely thought we'd face a future without children - we're so lucky.

i got some nausea from week 5 (the beginning of months of ms - I don't recommend that as a symptom, try and avoid it if you can :-)

Good luck with your pregnancy!

We are also getting a miracle baby. I'm 7 weeks today. We have been trying for 2 years. Tried a lot of herbal stuff, clomid, etc.. When we finally gave up, well we got pregnant 4 month later...

Congratulations and happy pregnancy..

MaryannM · 23/01/2013 00:20

Fabulous, congratulations!! I was in a similar situation, had been on met and chlomid for 2 months and even though we had been trying for a very long time and wanted a baby, there was no way I was expecting a BFP. I did several too just incase! It was a big surprise, A very pleasant one :-) had our (second) early scan today, not as far along as we thought thanks to completely random ovulation but all is good. Enjoy it and good luck :-)

Startail · 23/01/2013 00:37

Congratulations, I had to ring up and cancel my first fertility clinic appointment because of the BFP that became DD1

orangetickle · 23/01/2013 00:51

You've made me well up... lovely news.

Congratulations: enjoy every minute of it :)

Mands81 · 23/01/2013 08:16

I truly believe everything happens for a reason. Roll on the 4th Feb for early scan - anyone else worry they'll say nothing there?!
Anyone think/know they're due in September?
Take care everybody and thanks again for the lovely words Envy x

If you go to the antenatal clubs there is a September thread, definitely worth joining in :)

I am due in March and still don't quite believe there is something in there, it's normal.

Huge congratulations, hope you get an easy ride.
