When did your OH / DH / others feel the baby move?

Just that really...

I'm 19 weeks with my first, I've been feeling baby move for about a week. I know it takes longer for my partner to feel, but wondering when. He's getting impatient!

when you feel baby move make him pop hand on n see if he can feel it. my partner felt our first move at 20 weeks and im pregnant with my second but im only roughly 11 weeks so not even felt baby myself yet xx

I felt first proper movements at 17 weeks interally and then about a week and half later I could feel the odd movement outside if I concentrated. Ds2 said he felt a movement but I'm not 100% sure if he did. Dh hasn't felt this one yet (19+1) but then again, he's not really tried.

I felt my first movement just short of 20 weeks. I think it was about 10 days later that she kicked near the surface, if you see what I mean, so I grabbed my DH's hand and put it where she'd kicked. She then booted very hard, which gave him a shock :D

I have an anterior placenta which makes feeling her quite difficult. It's only now that I'm feeling her move regularly and I'm 25 weeks. I've placed my DPs hand on my belly once or twice when I've felt her kick from the inside but he's still not felt anything...

I felt movement at 17+ but DH couldn't feel anything from outside till about 22+ (and usually she immediately stops her crazy kickfest the second he puts his hands on my tum!)

23 weeks for us. I'm a size 14 though so do have some belly fat.

Msbluesky32 · 22/01/2013 13:24

I felt small movements at 17 weeks - a bit like popcorn popping. DP was able to feel movements by about week 19. It took a while to show him though because the baby always seemed to go to sleep or rest as soon as he put his hand on my stomach.
There are some ways to encourage the baby to move - a cold glass of water usually does it. Our little one is also very active after I have eaten food -chocolate- or anything sweet like lemonade. Best of luck with your pg x

This morning! I'm 19+3, second pregnancy. I've been feeling movement from the outside with my hand for a few days now, but every time DH put his hand on my belly the baby would stop moving!

Into 20+ weeks for me. DH and dd1 liked to put their ear on my belly - could hear wiggles if not feel! Grin

gardenpixies32 · 22/01/2013 13:52

About 24 weeks.

phoenixrose314 · 22/01/2013 13:53

I first felt mine at 19 weeks, DH felt it at 23.

After a few attempts of me going 'Ooh it's kicking, feel it feel it!' Only robe met by DH's blank/disappointed face, I then just left it until I felt a significant change in the kicks, when they got really strong. Don't worry his time will come :)

Thanks everyone! DH is very patient, but I really want him to feel it more, I'm hogging all the fun for now (compensation for the crap bits me thinks).

Thanks again, hopefully it'll be any day now!

It will get to the point where they get kicked in the back in bed all night and then it'll be the opposite lol! With DD it was quite late that I felt her, about 23 weeks, and a few weeks later for DH. This time I felt DC2 at about 16 weeks for certain, in bed, and DH was there so I grabbed his hand just at the right time so he got the full effect, seriously it was like something out of alien! But I am still quite slim and the baby is really low in my pelvis, so the skin is really tight there and every movement you can see as well as feel. Think big flip from left to right, then back again, shudder.... But good too, obv. Just need them to move up a bit to stop the tap dancing on my bladder now.

rrreow · 22/01/2013 16:25

Snowflakepie I used to call DS my alien spawn when he was still in my belly as he'd make my belly do stuff like from a horror movie!

CareerGirl01 · 22/01/2013 20:58

24 weeks for us - with DC2. Was super fit before I got pregnant so maybe my tight tummy muscles meant we didn't feel anything sooner?
