Has anyone used Pramworld (Winstanley's)?

Just interested to know if it was a good experience?

Finally settled on the bugaboo bee and there is a bundle on Pramworld which I can't find cheaper and John Lewis and Mothercare did not want to price match.

Cheers!

I have only bought accessories from them, but no problem at all. I was after a particular foot muff in a particular colour that was out of stock everywhere and they were v helpful in taking a back order, letting me know import dates, delivery to them etc.

zen1980 · 21/01/2013 20:53

I've used them for a few things and were fab, brilliant prices!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 21/01/2013 20:55

I have read some terrible reviews from them but they have the best prices for everything...mothercare price match so I went to them and got the same price plus if anything goes wrong with my pram I can talk to someone face to face rather than emails. I think mamas and papas also price match.

nellyjelly · 21/01/2013 20:56

Yes and had no probs at all.

MrsBradleyCooper · 21/01/2013 20:57

Yes we used them about 5 years ago and they were great. Obviously they may have gone downhill since then though.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 21/01/2013 20:59

Sorry didn't read properly that mothercare didn't want to price match. Wonder why?? Or if it's worth calling their main number? They price matched my stokke.

ladymia · 21/01/2013 21:01

Mothercare no longer matches any store, they have a list of about 8 stores.

John Lewis didn't want to do a price match because it's multiple items.

we bought a bugaboo chamelean as part of a bundle from winstanleys as the price was much cheaper, when we collected there were items missing... a footmuff and a parasol which were both promised in the bundle... i eventually got my stuff but really had to kick up a fuss. it is cheaper but i would advise to be careful when ordering bundles that everything promised is listed on your order.

melliebobs · 21/01/2013 21:20

I went there to look cos I wanted an iCandy. They were very helpful but went to a shop in Aughton as they smashed Pramworlds price. Going back there for Next stage of car seat as they are one of the few places here that do rear facing

salvadory · 21/01/2013 21:37

Yes used them in 2010 for a bugaboo cam bundle, no problems, nice service but we don't live too far away so all of our purchasing done in store not on line.
My friend didn't like the smell of her bugaboo fabric(?!) and they gave her a new one and let her keep the old one no quibbles.

DoodleAlley · 21/01/2013 21:41

Not bought from them but visited and they bent over backwards to help us and were lovely.

They were also open to tweaking bundles and doing deals.

Would have gone with them but too far away from us in case of issues

PreciousPuddleduck · 21/01/2013 21:43

Yes, bought several bits and bobs from them and they were great.

EntWife · 21/01/2013 21:59

Bought my Baby Jogger City Select from them about 9 months ago.Price was excellent and they were fab. There was a mix up with part of the order (my husbands fault, not theirs) and they fixed it all very quickly and without drama.

Would thoroughly recommend!

whatsinthebagangelos · 21/01/2013 23:30

Bought Quinny buzz travel system with car seat online, delivered a day or so later, even got a text to say when exactly in the day it would arrive. Got the whole lot for under £500 a lot less that MC!

MerylStrop · 21/01/2013 23:45

Yes, twice! Once for bugaboo frog and once for P&T double. Was v happy with service and value and DS liked visiting the shop because of the extensive playmobil range..;...

zigwig · 21/01/2013 23:57

We went to test drive prams last week and they were really helpful. It was packed too so clearly popular. Will definitely be ordering from them online.

Don't buy from Pramworld! They sold me an item they didn't have in stock and send me a different item which I now have the hassle of returning!

Just before a heatwave (it reached 34 degrees!) I decided to buy a cool pram liner and cool summer canopy for my bugaboo chameleon. I checked with Pramworld to ensure it was in stock
(They said it was) and ordered the items. The canopy they sent me was for the wrong pram. I called them and they said they'd check the warehouse to see if the one I wanted was available, and call me back. They never called back. I emailed and they told me my item was not in stock. Why did they tell me it was in stock? Now I'm left with no summer canopy for my pram (in this heatwave!!) and I have the hassle of returning the wrong product they sent me. I'm livid. I said they should offer me compensation for their error and the inconvenience this has caused and they said 'they don't offer compensation but will refund the incorrect item'. I should hope so!

Glitterbubble · 22/06/2017 00:02

So glad to see this post and also the great reviews!! I am going there tomorrow to buy my pram hopefully.

I also noticed someone mentioned a place in Aughton..is the place you mean on Northway?

franksbitch · 22/06/2017 00:17

I live near the shop and have used them, they did a great price match for me, although they did make an error when I put my order in they corrected it straight away when I realised and sent me an email to confirm. They were also really good when I was dithering over what to buy and let me put loads of different prams in the boot of my car to check whether they would fit. The shop can get VERY busy, especially at weekends, but it's usually OK in the week. I think you might be able to book appointments actually.

katiechatawa · 10/09/2019 10:51

I order my travel system from here notice the items had been used stains on the head rest and stains on the rain cover plus the straps were not in the right place I would AVIOD ORDERING FROM PRAMWORLD as any problems they are not helpful and will not give you a refund or exchange they will argue with you so they dont have to address the issues .

OnlyLittleMissOrganised · 10/09/2019 15:05

Yes we have used pram world. Couldn't fault it. We had our nursery furniture from there and delivered 170 miles. Though it did come from the distributor. We had issue with the couriers not pramworld themselves. And my mum has got our pram from there too. It was cheaper than anywhere else and even the brand wouldn't match that price at the baby show.

Go for it!
