Firstly, congratulations!

Well presumably the baby will be in your room for the first few months, more possibly if you are EBF for ease of night feeds. By then, maybe your DDs would be happier to share a room?

Or, do you have the ability to extend or put a room in the loft, or convert part of a downstairs room into a small bedroom?

Loft conversion?
Put a stud wall up in the largest bedroom to make it into 2? My friend did this and it works really well for her brood.

Have this issue. Are extending out over a double garage. Goodluck

How about using free standing screens to divide off a section of another room? Or do a Harry Potter and go for the under stairs cupboard Grin

We could used stud wall and devide dining room but that would mean someone ( probably us ) sleeping on a different level. Both dds rooms are quite big so I suppose we could devide one of them. Panicking because when we were having both dds we did the whole " getting the nursery ready thing " I dont suppose that's necessary with the 3rd tho. Don't really have money to get loft conversion tho tbh.

My dds were a similar age when I had dd3. They shared a room anyway and are quite happy to do so

My friends done the stud wall in her old and new house.
The old house she split the biggest room and made two roomy singles.

The new house she's split a double into a single and a box. Baby's in the box room.

Relatively cheap and everyone gets their own space

LoganMummy · 21/01/2013 21:10

We have this dilemma and decided to move some internal walls to make spaces work. Baby not due until June and will be in with us for six months so we have a while to get this sorted.
Congratulations!

You'll find somewhere (sorry that's not useful).

DD2 (2) is still in with us (in own bed now). We have a small two bed house but box room too small to share with older sister.

I'm figuring we have about a year until she'll want a room of her own.

This reminded me of a friend of mine who was in a similar position. DD1 + 2 really had problems getting on with each other, but when DD3 arrived, the very thing happened she didn't expect...

DD1+2 became best buddies.... :) Still are!
