I have an exercise/swiss ball, is it the same thing? Can I use it as a birth ball?

I did

As long as it has anti-burst (which most do) then yes. I was given an exercise ball for Christmas, mainly because the only difference between it and the birth balls was about £30!

Yes that's what I used too.

I used to sit and watch tv on it

StarlightMcKenzie · 18/01/2013 19:10

It will be invaluable after the birth as your DP can sit on it in front of the tv and bounce the baby to sleep whilst you rest.
