Hot Flashes. What new hell is this?

I'm 12+1 and been relatively lucky in the symptom department with no actual up-chucking. On the train to work this morning, had breakfast and was hit but the most hideous hot flash for about 5 mins. Seriously thought I may pass out at one point. A quick google suggests its normal (?) but it kinda scared me. My BP is a perfect 110/70 and no sign of diabetes afaik. Should I be worried or just get over it and get used to it? Anyone know what makes it worse/better?

I've been getting these all through my pregnancy (25 wks now). I thought I had flu at first. I've found that the biggest trigger is heat and central heating. Since I turned our radiators off I've been much better. The house is like a walk in fridge (I live in Sweden so it really is blooming freezing) but I feel much better.

When they come on, take a deep breath and its sensible to sit down. I have found in all my pregnancies that it can be a pre cursor to fainting. If you're out in public and it happens where there's nowhere to sit down, just crouch and it'll soon pass. I bloody hate them and mine are prevalent in the second trimester, just keep an eye on yourself

I get these as well, and like waynetta have felt faint so had to sit down quickly and take deep breadths.

I'm very early stages but I have started burning up at night, so much so that DP can't stand any part of me touching him! He reckons that's where the expression bun in the oven has come from!!

I did have an episode in Sainsburys the other Thursday morning, but it didn't get me out of paying for my shopping!

A quick sit down and some cool water helped.

Hope everything goes well.

I went through a short stage of getting these round 12-15 weeks. I bet its hormones. I had to strip of and lie down under an open window to cool myself back down lol. I haven't had one for a while tho, I'm now 22+1 x
