Brown discharge

Hi everyone, have only just found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant. I'm so happy! It's my second :-) However, I've had brown discharge for the last 3 weeks, which started when I was due on my period, that's why I didn't think I was pregnant until now. There's been no red blood, only dark brown, still have it today. I went to see my gp yesterday and she's organised a scan for me tomorrow. Has anyone had anything similar I can relate to? I'm really worried I've miscarried now..

I had brown spotting every day from very early on (sorry, I can't remember exactly) till about 12 weeks with DC 2.

Everything was fine with no complications. My GP speculated that there might be a tiny irritated patch.

If you forget to remove a tampon it will also produce a brown discharge.

Your GP is probably organinsing this scan to put your mind at rest. If you'd miscarried I think the bleeding would be fresh, red blood with clots.

Sorry to be gross.

Easy for me to say, I know, but try not to worry.

I have a cervical erosion and often get spotting. Since I found I was PG I have had spotting every day. It coincides with going to the loo in the morning, theres a tiny bit red, and it fades to brown over the next couple of hours. Its not enough to leak out, but definitely there when I wipe. Oviously, I will check this out with the doctor when I go on monday, but as I have history, Im trying not to worry.

I have the same. Brown spotting at implantation and every day from about 6-13 weeks. Bub was fine at 12 week scan! Had it last time around too. Never got any explanation, but dc1 is now a very healthy toddler Grin

Just got back from a scan for this reason and I'm very pleased that all seems well at 6 weeks. They've booked me in again for in 2 weeks time to check all is growing as it should.

I hope this is reassuring!!
