Ladies who had a long labour first time how long was second labour?

I was just interested if any ladies who had a long labour with their first had a shorter labour or if it was still a long labour with subsequent babies.

Ds1 was back to back and labour went on for days! Ds2 was not back to back and the whole event was over in under 2hrs!

The second was shorter for me.

DC1 - in 'pre-labour' for days and established labour for 27 hours (back to back).

DC2 - 16 hours from first contraction.

Marking my place...Really don't think I can cope with 3 day labour then ECS again.

My 1st took 15 hours but 2nd took 46.5 hours !!! She was stuck behind my cervix and the hospital didnt notice !!! She was worth it though :)

Dc 1 was 27 hours
DC 2 was 45mins (although I had the drip due to complications in the pregnancy-is that cheating?!?)
Expecting DC 3 in July and am really hoping for a 45 minute labour again!!

I had a 22 hr labour first time round as DS was back to back so I'm hoping for a shorter and easier labour this time too. I'm a bit worried as I have group B strep that it will be too short but I couldn't cope with another long one.

DS - 36 hours from first contraction, ending in emcs.
DD - 34 hours from first contraction, vbac with gas and air :)

DC 1 three bloody days and he had to be dragged out.

DC2 eating my dinner to holding a baby 20 minsShock unplanned home birth.

DC 3 two and a half hours. Dh very relieved that there was time for the mw to get there.Grin

DS1 20 hours including 2.5 hours of pushing
DS2 4 hours including 5 mins of pushing!
DD 4 hours 20 mins pushing but only because I controlled it better

First - nearly 24 hours latent followed by 16 hours active, 2 hours pushing

Second - 14 hours latent, 10 hours active, but only 3 pushes.

Both felt way too long. Now expecting DC3 and just can't imagine ever having a quick labour.

In birth order

18 hours of agony longer if you go for mere discomfort
4 hours
2.5 hours

Dd pre labour 2 days then 16 hours induced. Ds 8 contractions and less than an hour. I only just got back from the supermarket in time to pick up the bag and get to the hospital. Ds head butted the midwife on the way out.

DC1 3days then ended up with Vontuse
DC2 3 days with Gas and air.
DC3 due in 3 weeks and hoping for a quick birth.
