family history of never having a show/waters breaking and with my first I had my waters broken in active labour so the question is when should I go to the hospital? Hospital is an hour away on a good day so if I'm turned away will be another two hour + trip to go back BUT am being told that second babies are quicker. Should I wait til I can't stand the pain anymore or go before then?

Am 37+3 and OH & I haven't got a straight answer from MW!

With DC2 I went when I was having 3m contractions but I'm only ten minutes away. I'd go at somewhere around the 5 minute mark, I think. It'll help if you know what position the baby's in as back-to-back takes longer.

thanks :-) she is text book & 3/5th engaged. my first labour was 36 hours so can't see this one being "quick" but also you never know lol............ :-) will the hospital turn me away say if i'm only 2cm dilated knowing that it will be a 2 hour round trip again for me? knowing my luck I'm gonna give birth in the car....
