Basically that's it! I had a few days with only a bit of nausea and a bit of energy but its died a death and I'm back to being shattered!

I've had an emotional week which I don't think has helped but I could sleep standing up. In fact if it wasn't for work and ds I would be in bed right now.

Anyone else still exhausted and sick?

Yep I am so I can totally sympathise with you. I'm only 15 + 4 and my morning sickness has returned after about a weeks break but its just as bad as it was Sad have had to go back to the doctors as I was unable to do anything an he has signed me off for 2weeks and given me more anti sickness tablets. Have felt a little better today but only because Iv just woken up from about a 2.5 hour sleep Grin so far Iv lost 17lb from becoming pregnant due to being sick and not being able to eat. I hope your sickness starts to ease soon Smile

shelley72 · 15/01/2013 16:49

me too! am 15 weeks today (or 16 weeks tomorrow, depending) and i am still shattered. i feel really wiped out and could sleep for hours given half a chance . i just have no energy and no 'oomph'. i dont remember being this way before - i am sure i had much more energy by now. but then i wasnt as old, and i wasnt running about after two demanding children.

thankfully i have again escaped the sickness but i feel for you, i really do. hopefully you will feel better soon

It's just good to know others understand. I'm having a hormonal battle and the tiredness is making it hard to control the tears! I know I'm lucky to be pregnant but I really don't like how it makes me feel!

The darkness and cold I'm sure doesn't help the situation. Wish summer would get a move on!

I am 18+2 and was asleep by 8.20 last night. Every day when I get in from work I want to get straight in bed. I make myself stay downstairs, but it is def a struggle. You are not alone! Xxx

Rache1S · 15/01/2013 18:52

16+6 here and absolutely knackered all of the time. I'm eagerly awaiting this alleged second trimester energy boost but it's bloody well taking its time!

weeblueberry · 15/01/2013 18:59

Yep that was my 'exhausted' time as well hon. I was totally shattered from about 14-18 weeks. Its only now at 24 weeks I'm starting to really feel like myself again...

Dolallytats · 15/01/2013 19:04

I'm 14 weeks (approx. dating scan on Thurs!!) and could sleep standing up. The problem I have is that I can't stay asleep. I am getting pregnancy insomnia and it is driving me mad...as well as having to get up to pee 3 times a night. I am averaging 4 hours sleep a night and am seriously starting to wonder if it is possible to die from lack of sleep!!

MitMopse · 15/01/2013 19:19

I am 16 weeks and fall asleep on the sofa every evening by 8:30! Work is a struggle too so really going for an energy boost soon. The worst thing though for me is I am not sleeping well due to constant back pain. I have a dodgy back anyway, but this is lower back twinges that make it painful to sit, walk, or lie down. Anyone else suffering?

specialknickers · 15/01/2013 19:36

15 weeks here and utterly utterly knacked... You are not alone

MrFranklyShankly · 17/01/2013 13:42

Yep 16+2 and feeling exactly the same, finding it so hard to sit at work without falling asleep on the desk! Like you Dolallytats when I finally do drag myself into bed, can only sleep for a few hours at a time and keep waking up, drives me mad as I'm sooooooooooooooo tired come the morning time....Hi MitMopse I have a dodgy back too from a few years ago and have started having twinges again this week, was wondering was the same old problems raising its head again, hope not.....anyone feeling any movement yet, we're all quite close in our dates......

Frankly

Littlemissexpecting · 17/01/2013 15:34

Yep I'm 18 weeks and still waiting for this 2nd trimester glow and energy boost I m meant to get!

Sparkleandshine · 17/01/2013 15:43

...this general tiredness lasts until they are roundabout 3yo...

DoodleAlley · 17/01/2013 15:49

Oh thank goodness for this thread.

I'm a bit further on that most here, at 27 weeks. I'm
Not as tired as some describe but I am more tired that with dc1.

Good not to be alone!

wanderingalbatross · 17/01/2013 15:54

Exhausted here too, and around 15 weeks with DC2. When pg last time, I was tired the whole 9 months. On the plus side, it meant the sleep deprivation that comes with a newborn wasn't too bad because it was so much better than the pregnancy tiredness!

cupcake78 · 17/01/2013 17:19

Still shattered and sleeping seems to be getting less not more. Anyone finding this tiredness is making hormones hard to deal with? Feeling very up and down day and night.

MitMopse · 18/01/2013 23:39

Just wanted to thank everyone for letting me moan and thanks to Frankly for sympathising! Hope your back feels better. a bit of gentle heat really helps with the twinges. Look after yourselves all and get some rest whenever you can! No movement yet, can't wait to feel it, will try playing the bump some music maybe...

StuckOnARollercoaster · 19/01/2013 09:34

20 weeks here and am still a sleep monster! Do have the odd day of energy but will then be shattered the next day...
At least I do fall asleep everywhere in the car, on the sofa, when visiting relatives! So I feel for those of you that are tired and have insomnia :-(

Steffanoid · 19/01/2013 20:54

i'm 19+5 and still just want to sleep which isn't good cause i'm moving house a week monday, think i'm a glutton for punishment, thought i was actually going to fall asleep in my dinner on wednesday, had been out and about a little during the day which did not help in the slightest, now to find the energy to pack boxes, i know it was here 5 months ago!
