Hi All,

I feel a bit silly writing this as I have been pregnant before and should perhaps know better...

I am 4.6 weeks with my second, but I have not got any symptoms to speak of apart from slightly sore nipples when I touch them and this pain in my left ovary. I have had the ovary pain at various times throughout my cycle since trying to become pregnant, so it is not a new thing. However I cannot help but think the worst i.e. ectopic.

I read my journal that I had with my first pregnancy and I had quite an extensive list of symptoms at this time including lots of period like cramps and I feel perfectly fine this time around.

I know it's early days yet, so perhaps the symptoms will come in the next two weeks or so (with my first HG hit me at 6 weeks, not particularly looking forward to that!) but I can't help feeling that something isn't quite right and maybe the embryo has stopped developing already.

Would just love some reassurance - similar stories, as I am driving myself slightly mad!

Thanks so much xx

Congratulations ans stop worrying! Most people don't get any symptoms until around 6 weeks and some lucky buggers don't get any, so keep your fingers crossed this is you and enjoy it Smile

Thanks Rachel, I know I'm being silly probably. It's just anxiety hitting me now! Isn't it funny when you spend ages ttc and you think once you're pregnant you'll be feeling so happy and chilled out but then you instantly get all these other things to worry about. Oh the joys of being a woman ;-)
Thanks again, I will try and stop worrying xx

Hi I know how you feel. I am worried sick. I had some symptoms from 4 weeks to 5 weeks and now they have gone and I feel fine, not pregnant at all. I wouldnt be so worried if I hadnt have had the symptoms earlier. Im driving my self to distraction and keep to CB digitals......

BonaDea · 15/01/2013 16:19

If it helps, I basically have had no symptoms at all until very recently when I've started to feel tired - I'm 29 weeks tomorrow!

No sickness, no sore boobs, no tiredness until now, nothing other than some very very mild crampy pain for a day or two. That was it.

lifeislikeaboxofchoccies · 15/01/2013 18:20

That does help! Thank you BonaDea. I know every pregnancy is different as well, so there is no reason why it should be exactly like my last. Good to hear you've escaped the morning sickness! Not too long to go now for you - exciting!

Lucy, you can make yourself sick worrying can't you. What were the symptoms you had before? If it was cramps it's possible that that was more to do with implantation, I had those too a week or so before my period was supposed to start and lasted a few days. I have not used the CB digitals but perhaps it's a good idea to do one every two weeks say, just to see if the number of weeks go up! In the nicest possible way - I hope you will start feeling horrible soon :-) And that goes for me too!

I have literally just found out I'm preggers it said 1-2 weeks on the cb digital test and I'm sitting here freaking out that I have no symptoms.....I thought after two years of trying I would be just delighted which I am but also anxious that its a sticky little bean!! Just give me some morning sickness please Grin I will probably regret saying that!!

lifeislikeaboxofchoccies · 15/01/2013 18:48

Ah congratulations Tilly! That's great news! It is a very anxious time for sure. But I think 1-2 weeks is definitely quite early to be feeling anything, so I have high hopes you will feel something soon enough. And yes, you will regret saying that Smile I remember saying that with my first and 2 weeks later I was flat out on the sofa all day holding down nothing but tiny sips of water. While I do not want morning sickness quite as severe as that, I would most definitely welcome a bit of puking Wink

It's such a rollercoaster of emotions, I'm as terrified as I am excited! Are you 4.6 weeks since ovulation of since your period? Sorry for asking Blush I was reading on the test that he 1-2 weeks is from conception but your doctor will date it from the last period Confused

lifeislikeaboxofchoccies · 15/01/2013 19:10

Ah yes that makes sense, silly me! I've not used those tests before. I'm 4.6 calculated from last day of period. You are probably around 4 weeks Smile Are you seeing your doctor tomorrow? She will have this lovely little circular piece of cardboard that will tell you how far along you are calculated by the last day of your period and how long your cycles are and she will also be able to give you an EDD. How accurate all of that is I am not sure though...

Oh yeah I must make an appointment with the doctor....nearly forgot about that! Oh and I meant to say I have been getting a bit of ovary pain on and off. I guess there are a lot of changes going on inside our tummies!

lifeislikeaboxofchoccies · 16/01/2013 13:02

Good luck at the Drs! It's so nice being congratulated and picking up your maternity notes, very exciting. I do wonder what the ovary pain could be - but as you say, a lot of change going on in there!
