Advice: swimming post threatened miscarriage

I wondered if someone can help me

I am on my fourth pregnancy, two last ones ended with a miscarriage. In mid December I had a threatened miscarriage and got put on progesterone and pelvic rest, banned from flying, skiing and everything fun

Last Friday I had a spotting episode with an US showing a healthy baby, good dates, no SH. My obgyn's best explanation was something about protruding veins in cervix - not much to go on and nothing serious

I forgot to ask him about swimming or rather swimming pools. My daughters water babies class kicks off this Thursday and she loves it and I wasn't there for her much at times with bed rest etc

I would not be swimming as such but the swimming pool is chlorinated and I am worried about irritation down there. Plus he did say pelvic rest and I stopped baths etc

Was anyone in the same situation? Did you get any advice regarding swimming (pools)?

I remember in my first pregnancy the consultant said no hottubs and no baby pools as bacteria / high chlorine content can lead to infections / irritation and problems.

Thank you in advance.

Hmmmm I would avoid but don't know the answer. Phone hospital to ask?

I'd avoid too, you never know if something did happen you would wonder if that caused it. And especially with little babies in the pool, plenty of opportunity for contamination.

Should add, a relative of mine was on pelvic rest due to irritated cervix and told to avoid pools.
